The bake

Step by step.

Brown the butter

Cook butter in a saucepan until nutty and amber. Cool 10 min.

Mix wet

Whisk together browned butter, mashed bananas, sugar, eggs, and discard.

Fold in dry

Sift in flour, soda, salt. Fold gently — don't overmix.

Bake

350°F in a buttered loaf pan for 60 min. Tester clean. Cool 30 before slicing.
